Global scientists still race against the time to find an effective vacination.

On the other hand, Tamiflu medicine is quite limited and both developing and developed countries still balance the distribution of ownership of the Tamiflu for use in infectious disease.

A room full of sweaty press officers, eager to learn more about the international media climate and how to achieve ‘Global Coverage for Science’ weren’t expecting to hear about powerful and rich PRs in Nigeria. But these sessions often contain surprises, and after being lulled into the international media scene with case studies on outreach to international media by BAS’s Linda Capper we met Mohammad Kaswar Uddin from Bangladesh and Diran Onifade who took us further from our comfort zones.

As the name implies, the session was essentially focused on Nick Davies’ book titled “Flat Earth News,” which somewhat paints a grim picture of the dwindling prospects of the print media, particularly in the UK and also the world in general.

There is the belief that the book is likely to change, permanently, the views that readers have of the British newspaper industry.

A down-to-earth Davies did not mince words as he addressed the well-attended session.
