She has a special interest in how industry, academic researchers, patient groups and regulatory bodies relate to one another and how this affects the rate at which cancer patients see real benefit from scientific progress. Anna believes that, in this complex field with powerful vested interests, good journalism is vital to stand up for the public interest. She is committed helping equip journalists to report effectively on the scientific, clinical, organisational and policy issues involved in improving the care of cancer patients, and has helped organise and conduct media forums and training initiatives for journalists across Europe and in the Arab World.
