Biography:
For 15 years, Jacqui Thornton has been a leading news and features journalist in the competitive world of British national newspapers. As news reporter, then health correspondent at the Sunday Telegraph, followed by Health Editor at the Sun, she gained a reputation as a leader in her field of health writing.
Now she uses that experience to give unique insight to charities, PR agencies and businesses, offering media training, PR skills training, consultancy and corporate writing services. She still works as a freelance journalist for the Times, Telegraph, Observer and Cosmopolitan and was shortlisted for Freelance Health Journalist of the Year 2008. Jacqui is also a member of the Department of Health’s Organ Donation Taskforce (communications sub-group) and an associate non-executive director of Winchester and Eastleigh Healthcare NHS Trust.
